An Unknown Brand, Now Selling Online

USnew market, with no prior brand recognition

A new food brand entering the competitive US market began generating online sales through a paid advertising strategy developed and managed by Cato Marketing.

The Challenge

Launching a new food brand in the United States presents a significant challenge: consumers have no familiarity with your products, no established relationship with your brand, and plenty of competing alternatives.

Our client was entering the US market as a completely unknown brand. The challenge was to introduce its products to American consumers and turn that exposure into actual purchases.

We needed an advertising strategy that could both create awareness among potential customers and capture existing demand from people already shopping for similar products.

Our strategy

Two Channels, Two Different Jobs

We developed a two-channel advertising strategy combining Google Shopping and Meta Ads, with each platform playing a different role in acquiring customers.

  1. Google Shopping: capturing purchase intent

We launched Google Ads campaigns focused primarily on Shopping placements. Advertising the products directly within Google's shopping results reached consumers already searching for relevant products and actively considering a purchase, introducing the new brand at the point of the buying decision.

  2. Meta Ads: creating demand through compelling creatives

Our team sourced product imagery and influencer creative, and used these assets to develop image ads for Facebook and Instagram. The objective was to present an unfamiliar brand in an attractive, engaging way that encouraged consumers to discover its products.

  3. Demand generation + demand capture

Meta Ads put the brand and its products in front of potential new customers, while Google Shopping reached consumers with existing shopping intent. Together, these channels formed the foundation of the brand's US customer acquisition strategy.

The outcome

Early Commercial Traction in a Competitive New Market

$11,284.97 in total sales by October 28, 2026

Sales began gaining momentum during the second half of 2026, demonstrating early commercial traction for a brand that had entered the market without established recognition.

The case illustrates how a coordinated Google Shopping and Meta Ads strategy can help an unfamiliar e-commerce brand begin building its customer base in a competitive new market.
